1986 Colvin Parker 69 superbly appointed sailing yacht. She is modeled after the classic Chesapeake Bay “Two Sail Bateau” or “Bugeye.” Ketch. This seaworthy aluminum vessel is hard chine and extremely stable exceeding USCG stability standards by over 25%. She was designed by the famous Thomas E. Colvin and built in Key Largo Florida by renowned builder Rueul Parker. It is modeled after the Bugeyes, (Skipjack with a mizzen sail) that dredged oysters in the Chesapeake Bay from the late 1800’s to the recent mid-1960’s. Our unique vessel was commissioned in 1986 as a cargo ketch and worked her early years as a sawmill harvesting exotic woods from South America. In 2010-2012 she went through her last major refit replacing all systems, engines and leaving her with the current exquisite appointments. She is well-appointed inside and out and was used mainly as a day sailor by her previous owners. Great opportunity to start your own charter company or cruise.
