2006 Island Pilot 395, This Boat is ready for the loop, Bahamas or coastal cruising. She offers a maneuverable cruising boat, with twin engines and a bow thruster. A complete boat with tons of great gear and new electronics! This boat Offers panoramic views from her main cabin and extraordinary storage, Cruise comfortably at 8.5 knots and burn only 5 gph. “Sweet Nance” is a clean, bright, comfortable cruiser with safe side decks and an innovative cockpit design offering easy safe transit to dock, swimming, or dinghy access. Accomodations/ Vessel Walkthrough:
There is a minimum of 6’6″ of headroom throughout and storage capacity is incredible! Finished in beautiful teak joinery throughout.
Step a board from your dinghy, via the swim platform which includes a swim ladder, to the rear transom door or walk aft to the transom door. The side decks are wide walk around decks, which allow crew to maneuver easily from bow to stern, an important safety feature while docking or anchoring. All deck rails range from 3 foot to 4 foot in height and are polished stainless steel.
As you walk into the saloon you are greeted by warm wood, teak and holly sole, and a leather L-shaped
settee to starboard which is long enough for stretching out. There is a dropleaf table that electrically
raises and lowers to fit the situation- leaves up to serve dinner for four, or leaves down for cocktail hour.
There are useful storage drawers under the settee, which pulls out for additional berthing.
On the port side is the electrical panel, flat panel TV, and Bose stereo system. Immediately forward is a
wide galley to port, with refrigerator. To starboard is the main steering and navigation station, in a
sumptuous semi gloss varnished interior teak finish. There is storage and plenty of room for additional
electronics is needed, and large forward windows with windshield wipers.
There are two leather matching captain style helm seats and a complete lower helm station. The helm
console on this boat includes new Raymarine electronics package and engine instrumentation for the
Volvo D6 engines. Included in the engine package are gauges that show out drive vertical angle
indicators, as the outdrives can be moved off vertical 5° forward and 6° back, to accommodate shallow
water.
Moving forward three steps down from the Galley and helm area, there is a full head with separate shower on the port side, and an office and guest stateroom on the starboard side. Also, there are two drawer storage areas under the stairs.
Further forward is a very spacious master state room, with a centerline queen sized berth, satellite TV, hanging lockers, drawers, shelves, opening ports, and an overhead hatch. The master suite includes an
en-suite head.
There is abundant storage everywhere on this boat, and it is all very thoughtfully laid out. You will notebook shelves as well as double freezer drawers in the companion way, what first appears as limited storage is actually the opposite.
Another big surprise is under the saloon. Normally a place for engine installations, this space is a virtual basement, or super lazaret, that offers outstanding utility. The washer and dryer fit easily. Measuring 42 inches height beneath the cabin sole, with the gas strutted hatch opening, access is outstanding!
Underneath the expansive cockpit, find three huge hatches to access the engines and generator. There is enough room to access the motors on every side, for ease of maintenance, as well as the 7.5 KW generator.
You will note an expansive flybridge as well, with total 360 degree visibility, an L shaped settee to port, and two helm seats. Forward of the flybridge helm is a wrap around tinted spray shield, which doubles as a sun deflector.
The foredeck is a large, easily traversed non-skid area for line handling or relaxing in the sun. The aft deck is an inviting area for evening cocktails, BBQ or lounging, with curtained rails for privacy and security, plenty of room for seating, and access to the flybridge.
